What am I missing here? Headlight question...

Thanks to all that reply. I have purchased a '14 2LT. The drivers side headlight does not illuminate in the same "pattern or shape" as the passenger side and it's definitely a bluer color. It basically shines in the left ditch or across the centerline leaving a very noticeable gap in lighting the road straight ahead. I know there is an adjustment for height, but not for left or right & it must've been replaced sometime in the past. Thinking it is maybe the bulb somehow, I've been researching replacing both while I'm at it. I have watched videos on replacing the headlamp, but am just lost on where the high beam lamp is. I know the part numbers (H11/H9) and apparently there are 2 separate bulbs, one for low beam, one for high? When I look at the headlights and switch from low beam to high, there's only one bulb illuminated? I'm sure the answer is quite simple, but I need help figuring it out. Once again, thanks all....

RS or non-RS?

My initial thought is just that a bulb blew out on the driver side and they dropped in a replacement that doesn't match, and might not have actually put the bulb in completely. Sometimes people don't press in hard enough before they turn and it's crooked.

It's an RS. Someone put a larger air filter and breather box on it. I was wondering the same thing. Since it doesn't match the other, perhaps when they replaced it they didn't place it in correctly? I wonder if that would be enough to make it shine so far to the left?

That was exactly the problem. Took the air box out, cover off the lamp and found the light was loose and pointing god knows where (to the left according to the shine). Tightened it in and we’ll see what the pattern looks like tonight…

Hopefully that's all it was! And if that was it, just buy 2 new bulbs that match and replace.

I see it far too often... you'd think replacing a bulb was actually difficult

Right. Oh well, we’ll see how it shines and yes I may go with new on both sides…
