Im orginally from Corpus so yea, I know its hot there.

One of my friends hooked up a couple peltier plates to a fan to get some cooling in his garage. It wasnt huge by any means but you could more the fan around closer to you to get some cool air.

....so you can see me running and gasping for breath as I screw up and pour acid all over and have some freaky chemical reaction....

That reminds me of a stupid move I did once when I was back in the restaurant biz......

Certain cleaning chemicals mixed together can have VERY bad reactions....

Let me tell you about the stupid move I made way back while I was still in high school and working in a hospital kitchen. My boss at that time was on my case about a cleaning task I was assigned that he got mad at me about because he didn't think I did a proper job. Well, I said to myself: I'll show him! I was assigned floor cleaning on my shift some days later, so I mixed up a cocktail of an ammonia based product, a chlorine based product and Pine Sol and went to work. Well, about five minutes into my task my eyes started watering and felt a burning sensation in the back of my throat. My boss came over to check my work and about had a heart attack when he saw my beat red eyes and runny nose. The area of the kitchen where I was wet-mopping had to be evacuated, all the windows thrown open and fans turned to full blast.

Does that sound about similar to your experience Doug?

Back on topic... I've seen some really nice flooring that people here have put down in their garages; I'd like to do the same but I'd want the floor surface clean as possible first. I'm reluctant as well to do anything with muratic acid because I don't know what some of the existing crusty looking stains that are already on the floor are. And I would want the floor task out of the way before I start painting the walls.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say I've pretty much covered it for him.

COUGH COUGH COUGH.....

SHIT! RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had to run the crap from the back room out to the back dock area and clear it keeping everyone out. DUMB DUMB DUMB....

I must have been asleep that day in science class...

Wow, you have done an excellent job. And let me tell you one thing, renovation big or small doesn't matter, the thing which matter is the how you do it. I really like the overall design of your garage. Most of the times, we see that people only change Automatic garage door openers, during their garage renovation project. Learn more about it here.

After reading your post in your build thread about transforming your garage, I got inspired.

Here's a before:

And here are a couple of after:

As you can see my garage is about the same size as yours and cleaning up the floor is going to be a challenge. I'm thinking about renting a pressure washer and some good cleaning solution and go at it. I'm told that kitty litter is good to use in the garage as well. Lighting is definitely on my list as I want to be able to get my SS out of the hot Texas sun when I'm detailing. HD is just a stones throw away fortunately. Besides, my garage needs to be presentable when I start hosting installapaloozas right?

Sorry for hijacking though. You done good job Tag!
Yeah me to got inspired..! Woow garage looks really well. I appreciate the effort you have put in and your family.
