Rear quarterpanel body lines (aka the hips) look a lot like our 6 gen Camaro's. Wish Chevy was still making and upgrading our cars.

It will be interesting to see the demand and sales for these, especially after the ICE Dodges and ICE Camaros are gone. I'm guessing these ICE Mustangs will be around for several years beyond on it's own. If Corvette stops ICE, Mustang might have made a smart move to get what market will be left for ICE V8s.

Good luck to them. It will be interesting to see how this all plays out.

It's a great send-off and tribute...

Ford Mustang created the Pony Car segment. They should be the one to end it.

I feel like the rear looks out of place without the black deck panel that has been synonymous with the previous 2 generations of mustang. I loved the look of the post-refresh s550's, almost purchasing a Mach 1 before I decided on the 2SS 1LE. Hopefully they let you option a Tremec 6-speed vs the garbage MT-82, that was the biggest thing that turned me away from the mustang.

I think it can be a home run for Ford though. I grew up a Ford guy and the 1LE is the first non-ford in my family in 20+ years. With the ICE Camaro and Charger/Challenger going away they can corner the market for the whole generation. Hopefully they don't force the digital gauge cluster on buyers who want to keep the last gen of pony cars for 7+ years though...

Hopefully tuners can find away around the locked PCM (if that is true) since they Coyote's hold additional power so well. Unlocked PCM is definitely a huge selling point for our 6th gen Camaro's being Chevy's only new performance car without a locked PCM.

The IP is a big improvement over the current version, but purists aren't going to like it.

8pm is the official reveal tonight. I've owned a few Mustangs and still like them. I've decided to go with a ZL1 because you don't see them all over the place. Mustangs are everywhere. And, I'm not about to spend $100,000+ for a GT500.

I wonder how improved is the chassis? Was the mach 1 really benchmarked?
Interesting times indeed.
