18 / 20 inch wheels
if have the 18 inch aluminum wheels, but like the 20 inch carbon flash black wheels how easy or hard is it to change them out? Can a chevy dealer do this? Order the carbon flash wheels and 20 inch tires? or is it better to go to a mom and pop dealer....and by changing the 18 inch to 20 inch will that disrupt anything in the speedometer or computer of wheel tire pressure warning light? anyone ever do this?

You're talking about replacing the factory 18's for the factory 20's correct? If so, anyone with a jack and torque wrench can do it. Nothing special there

If you go to the dealership you will pay 700$ per wheels plus 400$ per tires. That's a lot. Check out some sellers on here in the wheels and tires section you will find some replicas that are way cheaper and will fit your needs.
As for the speedo, nothing to worry if you stay within the OEM specs (245/40R20 if you go with the square setup which I recommend if you want to rotate the tires to even the wear). As for the wheel size, I am not 100% sure but I think they are 20x8.5+25 and the lug pattern is 5x120. That would be the RS square setup. This website has plenty of info. https://www.wheel-size.com/size/chevrolet/camaro/2018/ As I said, do not hesitate to PM the sponsors on here if you have questions you will get a better deal than with the dealership. Good luck!

These OEM wheels are so darn expensive even at hubcaphaven that I'd simply wait for a member or someone on facebook to let go of their set cheap when they upgrade to a wider setup, and you may even score a wheel+tire combo deal. And if you wait until your current tires are almost spoken for, you won't have wasted their tread life (you might also be tempted to do a couple burnouts to help them along, heh...)

I got my set from a local person on OfferUp, see on there as well as the guy I bought said he used them on his Jaguar so you never know who has them.
I'm running the 5 split spoke silver staggered setup that usually comes stock on SS but am running them in place of my old 18" wheels. No issues at all with the stock SS tire size. May affect your ride quality as well, I switched to the F1 tires on the 20s so went to runflat tires so I can't speak on non runflat 20s

You have the option to shop and buy the tires/wheels on your own, then go to a tire shop and have them install them for you. Or go to a specialty shop and they can order and install them for you.
I changed from the stock 18" wheels to 20" on my LT. I investigated and shopped for months before making my decision. I went with 20 X 10 Stance (forged) with Toyo all season tires for a square set up. I went to a specialty shop in Miami. I E mailed them and went back and forth with so many questions before I ordered. They were awesome- they order the "blank" wheels and machine on a vertical mill in their shop the bolt pattern, off set and hub bore precisely to the Camaro specifications. They also mounted and installed the tires and wheels and re-set the TMPS from a special hand held programming device. The results are amazing- the car handles so much better now and carves corners so nice. And the looks are amazing too- I get compliments everywhere. I also can still rotate my tires with the square set up. I could go on and on how satisfied I am. I recommend looking in the tires/wheels section- read all of the posts- focus on your area for a good shop/installer. Then pick your style wheels, the width you want, square or staggered set up, etc. Pay a lot of attention to the offset so the wheels will fit and also give you the look you want. I choose an offset for a "flush" look. They actually poke out about 2-3 MM. It's a balance of the look you want (also being legal- some states you can't poke out at all) and clearing the suspension geometry. My final offset was about 23 if I remember right. Good luck and have fun- I enjoyed my research and then finally getting the wheels and tires. And now I enjoy the looks and performance every time I drive the car. I have a post in the tires section as well if you want to look it up.

If you're looking for OEM wheels, just keep an eye on the wheels section in the member classifield ads. I have bought and sold several sets of wheels/tires from other members. Nothing but good experiences on every transaction.

Hello I know it's an old post but I'm hoping to get some help myself. So I was actually trying to do the same but now idk what to do. My camaro is a 2017 LT and I have the oem 18inch rims. I bought another pair of oem rims 20inch fem a 2019 camaro and was told it would fit my car. Well I took them to get out on my car and was told they would not work and advised not to put them on because I would have room to turn. I attached he'd pictures of my oem rims and tires with pictures of the tires I bought. Hope to hear from you guys I'd really appreciate any and all your help. Thank you. |

Who said they wouldn’t fit? It’s the OEM tire size just for a different model lol

Check out this tire size comparison, your rears will have the exact same height (diameter) down to 1/10th of an inch, your ECM probably won't even be able to tell the tiny difference in circumference. The fronts will be ever so slightly different, nothing to worry about there either. If you're concerned about physical fitment, there is enough space in the wheel well for these slightly wider rear wheels (there's actually a lot more room), and the fronts are the same width as your 18 inchers. Go ahead if you like those 20" wheels/tires and you're okay with their disadvantages.

Carbon Flash
I ordered a 2023 1SS a month ago and was notified that GM would not accept the order because the Carbon Flash 20 " wheels are on constraint. They accepted the order when I agreed to the standard wheels. The upgrade to the Carbon Flash was $ 380. (I am in Canada so I have converted to US $ ) I was lucky enough to find a set of 20 " Carbon Flash brand new take offs locally for $730 US so the wheels are here but will be waiting months for the car.

Look at the backside of each wheel and verify they're all identified as 20 x 8.5". |
