Kind of prefer the 2019-2023 look.
Reminds me of my 2013.

Either looks okay but the new ones are hard to get dry after a wash to prevent water spots.

I've tried both. For the most part, either one is ok - and I am in the minority of not being a fan of the blackout look. To throw in a couple additional variables, I do like the original fifth gen taillights when I see those on the road - and I think either type of sixth gen taillight looks better than the 2014 refresh style.

Having first owned a 2016, I voted for the older style lights in the poll - an additional benefit of the '16-18 taillights is that they don't come with the added warts that stick out on the sides of the rear fascia:

Consistent with my vote in the poll, my "de-freshed" 2021 has the cleaner pre-refresh lines back:

Don't want to hijack the thread, but there is both a minimum and a maximum amount of contrast (or rather, hue shift) required for designs to look good.

I totally understand that dark taillights feel less appealing on your silver (gray) car, and the stock red ones set themselves apart quite nicely against that paint color.

However, look at my garnet red one on delivery day when I swapped out the tails and was half done. I think the dark lamps look obviously superior, because the slight color difference between the red lamps and the paint feels like a mismatch (ie an error). The original red 3rd brake light looked positively horrendous against my paint color.

Just considered the stock design of both tailights styles, not their color. It was the only side to side picture that I found.

Yet I did have to concede that the center brake light looked better with the factory grayed-out look instead of the thin red line in the middle of the trunk lid. The best of both worlds, right? Although I wouldn't be surprised if some found it visually painful that I am combining the two different factory lighting looks.

"What’s that supposed to be, some kind of sick joke?"

"No sir . . . I think I was trying to suggest something about the duality of man."

I like both styles in the smoke lens tint. I do think the newer tail lights have a nice throw back style with the four individual looking lenses. Kind of like the 5th gens.

I prefer the 16-18 look, I was not a huge fan of the change they did.

I have some good news for you! I bought these and love them. Just make sure you actually read the instructions unlike what I did. The wiring is different if you car came factory with LED vs candescent. I also bought the dual LED strip side marker lights. I read plenty of people saying the lights eventually start to go out and sure enough both of my back ones have a few LEDs that are out. It's too bad, they really look damn good.

I do like the 2016-2018 taillights when they are smoked out... But I'm partial to my 2020 Smoked taillights WITH the smoked our rear reflectors...

@TheDocKlooek, thanks but unless I missed something it doesn’t say these are sequential turn signals. Also says 16-18 and I have a 22.

I love the front of the '20-'23 Camaro, but I dislike its "ricey" look of the clear rounded tailights, I prefer the ones on the '16-'18 Camaro.
