That's my plan one day. I've only had my car about a month so still getting other things in order.

What model is that?

Do yourself a favor, save some money and get the generic lifting pucks off amazon or ebay. They do not stand behind their products. My $165 tow hook from them was faded in 6 months and they said it's normal and wouldn't do anything.

Jack up the fronts first, one side then the other then Jack the rear on the black cross member.

I've had positive experience with their customer service and for lift pads, I don't think appearance is of any concern

Whelp to late now. I ordered a feather light tow hook, stealth pans 2 mag puck sets. I saved 56 bucks with a code I had and saved future shipping cost at 10 a piece if I ordered each separately at a later date.

If I don't like either the mag pucks or lift pads I could always sell them.

Thanks for everyone input.

So just now and just now after my order for the mag pucks and pads are slated to arrive I come across these!

For 14 bucks I could have just either used the mag pucks or pads and saved on the rest.

Just throwing it out there for anyone who might have the all in 1 unijack or has the same jackstand form where this may work.

When I swap my tires/wheels I lift from one side using the jacking point behind the most forward point. I use a mag puck and lift the whole side so both front and back wheels are off ground.
I don't expect any problems doing this every once in a while. Might feel differently if I had the convertible, which only has the floor for stiffness.

Also, the ZL1 addons mag pucks have a relatively thin slot that fits over the pinch weld. The amazon offerings seem to have a wider slot. I have had no bending issues with the mag pucks, which really are a 2-piece unit with the magnetic pinch weld bit and then the plastic puck which slides onto that.

^^^This is what I've done for years and works really well.

My only issue is when I take it to a shop somewhere they don't understand this concept and will put a jack on the corners. May just put the jack pads on for their use in case they jack in the wrong spot. Will be easier to just tell them to look for the red pads than explain putting the puck on the pinch welds.

Yeah, I still don't understand what you're trying to convey.....
If I have to take to a dealership, I only ask for a drive on lift unless I'm confident they know wtf I'm talking about.

Perfect Combo and what I use also. I have the 6000 model so its long enough to get to the front and the back instead of the spot more in the middle. Extremely stable.

No problem using a single jacking point to lift both vert wheels off the floor. The vert chassis is plenty stiff. Remember it has the X bracing as well as -- what most folks don't know -- a 1/2" thicker channel of steel under the rocker panels that runs along the outer edge of the pinch weld. The same 1/2" thick reason that the ZL1 Addons convertible lift pads have are machined down on one side. If they aren't, they won't fit the shorter pinch weld depth on the side with the extra steel.

Besides, the 650 ft-lb drive train and a suspension moving above 30mph on a rough road is capable of doing far more twisting to the chassis than I can with a jack and Earth's gravity.

100% agree. Sold my -5000 for a -6000 and it’s MUCH better for the Camaro and all my other cars. Would really only be a problem if you had a Civic or Miata to lift.
