Anymore suggestions on side skirts and rock guards?

Just to clarify, if I get the side skirts, I won't need rock guards?

The skirts won't do jack diddly to block rocks from flying up.

Strongly recommend getting the ACS rock guards with their skirts. I have them front and back, and not only are they fantastic at blocking rocks, but they also block most if not all water spray when going through little puddles and stuff.

In my opinion you need both on the 1LE. I have the ACS rock guards and side skirts on my car. So far they have worked great.

Side skirts do help, especially keeping rocks thrown up by the front tires off the side of the car, but I agree, not as much as having both rock guards and side skirts. I'm all in on the ACS rock guards and side skirts too.

IMHO, if anything is hitting at all, they aren't helping. Just me, though. As you said, both is far superior.

They do help, just not 100%

My previous GM guards were heavily pitted on the inside they were certainly helping. But i still had some chips. Both would be the best, plus some PPF on rear

Best Side Skirts????

Well for the money, the BEST side skirts are EOS ZL1 style. If you install them with RIVETS every 6 inches or so they will hold up fine (see pic below). I had a 100MPH off track incident with no visible damage. They cost roughly 400 dollars for the carbon fiber finish. The Carbon Fiber finish I would rate about a 7 on a 1 to 10 scale. Anderson or C7 BOTH probably have a little nicer finish . The FIT if you use the rivets on the EOS is excellent. Use plastic door edge guard material on the bottom edge of the sideskirt. This will protect the EDGES so that if they take a hit then that wont start the peeling away process that you sometimes see when carbon fiber is damaged on the edges. If you look closely at the pic you will see those edge guards installed in the sideskirts. I do the same thing on my EOS front splitter.

Dumb question. Can you post a picture of the underside for the front of the side skirt? I want to see what it would take to modify it to work with the GM factory rock guards. I would need to cut off from the front of the skirt an inch to inch and a half to make it work. I want to see if it would be worth the effort as well as being functional.

Thanks

Matt, I use the GM factory rock guards and you DO NOT have to cut the ends of the side skirts off. You take the rock guards OFF and you install side skirts and THEN you reinstall the rock guards over TOP of the sideskirts. Here is a picture below of mine. You use RIVETS to insure a tight fit. I used BLACK rivets on the rock guards so that they blend in. The way the rocker is shaped it actually fits better than you think it would. Look at the THIRD pic to see how it looks looking at the rocker towards the FRONT of the vehicle.

I bought a set of EOS side skirts off Walmart off all places. Definitely best bang for buck, even though I haven’t installed them lmao.

Came in Primer Black but definitely gonna get them painted properly before I install. Gonna use those rivet instructions so thanks for that!

Hard to tell from your pics, but did you only use rivets or did you also use double sided tape?

Ive heard double sided tape ruins the tight fitment w/ the skirts. I only used rivets on mine.

Here below are some additional pictures of what it looks like when you have BOTH the GM splash guards and the EOS rocker panels installed.

I did NOT use tape at all. ONLY rivets.. There are about 25 per each skirt. My opinion which is not shared by some is that you do not need the tape. The rivets will pull the skirt very tightly to the rocker panel if done properly.
