Love live the V8!!!

Yes, but they were a very unhealthy company at the time. Just a few years later they were bankrupt. That is not the case, at least for now. Our niche cars are fine unless of course things head south again, but I don't believe that hinges on the sales of Camaro's.

Just remember, that inventory number is based on January sales. January was a very slow month so it inflated the inventory in terms of days. February was slow, but better, so the real inventory is closer to 180 days.

I remember when dealership advertisements would brag about how large their inventory of new cars was....It would be an enticement to get you there to look over all the possible choices and buy one...

Now, a large inventory is viewed as a sign of failure...lol...I think not....The car industry knows how to adjust and sell cars....All is not lost.

Yes, it's called build what sells (sportutes/trucks) and idle production/discount what doesn't.

If March sales are around 5,400 units inventory drops to 120 days or less.

Working 6 days a week trying keep up with Honda CRV demand.....but Civic is not far behind.

Could be a lack of demand for Domestics.

I don't think that's it. Toyota has been issuing reports that dealers want more trucks, less cars, too...And both GM and Ford have been posting measurable (albeit small) gains in market share the past couple of years.

The top 3 best selling vehicles last month were domestic trucks. There were more foreign cars (not SUVs/Trucks) though in the top 20 than domestic.
