I have an oppurtunity to purcahse a brand new Torch Red Loaded 3LT at $500 over invoice and I have $4000 in GM points from my crecit card that expires in September. I am so very tempted to go back to a Vette, but now the Z28 is right around the corner. What should I do?

Buy the vette with the gm points.then trade in for the Z/28

.The Gm points should cover the depreciation.Right

I appreciate them both and either one will be nothing more than a weekend warrior. I love the Vette because it is a true sports car, but the Camaro Z28 is just bad@ss and has the "it" factor at the moment.

Not true. Vettes depreciate big time. For instance a loaded 3LT will on average only bring back maybe $1k-$1.5k more than a mid level 2LT, and right now Chevy has so many on their lots especially my dealer. Camaros aren't losing their money right now because of how new they are.

I love the idea of the z. But not everyone can wait for it. If your points are about to expire and they will help get the vette. You will enjoy it. Doesn't seem to me you are swayed more one way or the other that's the only reason I say vette.

Go with the Corvette. You will lose your GM dollar points in September and you have a screaming deal now. In addition there have been alot of cars that reached a test mule stage and never reached production.
