Angry 60 day return? Just wondering...

Reading about everyones problems here begs the question...

If the issues arose within 60 days of taking delivery, did anyone try to return their Camaro?

If not, why not?

I empathize with each of you and I mean absolutely no offense in asking this question. Did you have your symptom(s) right away? I've been down the issues road already with new cars and it's frustrating by nature. I, as are all of you, am infatuated with the 5th generation Camaro. BUT, I'm not interested in having to deal with engine noises, popping front ends, squealing brakes, rattles in the dash, dealing with service departments etc., etc., whatever.

I may be wrong, but it seems this car has more than it's share of manufacturing defects. In what would be an extreme case of delayed gratification, I'm seriously thinking about waiting until later in the model year, or even waiting until the '11's come out.

I've scheduled tomorrow (Saturday) morning to walk into the dealership and place my order for a 2SS/RS in Summit White. I haven't been sleeping as well (you all know what I'm talking about) and when I do I dream about the Camaro. Maybe it's the White Russians...
Anyway, this being the issues, problems area of Camaro5, I'm guessing that your comment is kinda sarcastic and that's cool.
But I'm a little concerned and would like to know if I should be. Are these issues only in an extremely small percentage of Camaro's? Or do a lot of folks have one or more of these issues?

I have a 2SS, 6 months, 11,200 miles, no issues. No rattles, no squeaking brakes, no noises under the dash, nothing. Yes there have been people that have had problems, but out of the 75,000+ produced so far, I think the numbers of issues is still failry low.

No I wasn't sarcastic. Mine was one of the first 100 built and runs exceptionally fine. In fact, I ordered another one in November, just waiting for delivery.

Don't forget, the ones that complain are always the loudest, in any situation, not just cars.

Took delivery 10/17/09 of mine. I have approximately 1900 miles on it. Some squeeky brakes, but it does not consistently do it. No other issues. Solid, no rattles. I have had a Corvette, 2001 Camaro Z28, 2005 Mustang GT, 2006 Mustang GT, and about 12 other new cars and trucks over the last 15 years. I am very pleased with this car. Rides well, runs well. I'd give it 8 out of 10. I have installed a Corsa cat back system. I have a CAI intake in route, I would like a supercharger (need wife to get a better job for that one). I have had this car up to 148 mph in 4th gear. It pulls hard! Good luck!

Only had mine for about 3 weeks. No issues.

My dealer gave me $500 off if I declined the 6 mo. return deal.

I knew I wasn't going to return it and the dealer has a solid reputation so I felt comfortable taking the money.

Had mine since 11/29 850 miles and wouldn't trade it for anything.

That's 60 days.

Thanks everyone for your feedback. Reading about all the weird crap people are experiencing on their Camaros in this Issues, Problems forum has me wondering...

have you had any coolant smells from your dash?? mine had the heater core bust at 5045mi. the dealer also tried to do the campaign and broke the spoiler bolts off in the trunk. so hence new spoiler. then they detailed the car and wiped the stipe decals with a rag that had dirt in it. NOW they want to paint the stripes on. Headache...

I think the vast majority of these cars built are doing fine. Most problems are minor and getting worked out. I don't care what or when you buy, you can always have problems. Get the car and enjoy it.
