Keep the car you own. Trade one payment for another instead of taking on a new one.

Keep the g8. Can be just as fast as a camaro with lots more usable room. Plus its rarer so it's got a chance to be collectible someday. Sell the camaro, pay off the g8 and put the rest towards a car that will fit your needs in your new area.

That's kind of a tough call... Camaro is paid for and has less than half the miles on it than the G8 that you still owe on.
G8's are pretty uncommon these days, which is nice, but I wouldn't count on the GT being collectable in the future? A GXP? Much more likely. Then again, 20-30 years from now, who knows. Seeing as you have a kid, and another on the way, the G8 does make more sense if the new AWD car isn't always available to you to transport them. I was pretty set on a new Chevy SS, but after a lot of thought, talked myself into a G8 GT which I am finalizing the deal on today and will be driving it home tonight. I will be selling my Camaro within the next couple months, and the g8 will be getting worked over with most of the mods you mentioned you would do to yours if you keep it. I'm paying $16,600 for it, it's an 08 w/ 71k miles on it... G8's have been around for about 7 years now? I've only seen one in my town ever, and very very rarely do I see it... Maybe once or twice a year if at all. I think it's the only one I've ever seen in the real world in all of my travels. I can pass a Camaro every couple miles... |
