New Product - Carrier Bearing

**I have no affiliation with this company nor have tried out the product*** But it looks interesting for sure.

Here is a link to a company that has developed what looks to be a better carrier bearing support for the 5th gen 2pc driveshafts.

There is a street & track version available. Pre-order is $249 and normal price looks to be $299

Oh boy, that looks promising! Watching the ZL1 underside vid, I had no idea they moved around that much. Kind of how the cradle mounts do as well, which is why a lot of guys went solid. I still have my stock DS and all the hardware for it sitting in my parts room. If I ever need it again. I saved that link you posted. Thanks for the info Ashen.

You're welcome!! I was very surprised with how much that moved around. I have mine still in storage as well and will be keeping an eye on this as well.

When ordering, it asks for bushing stiffness, prefered. Soft= street - Hard= track and final selection is “give me both”. I would guess that the latter option is somewhere in between the soft and hard?

Price goes up on the “give me both” so I would say they send one of each. The bushings look split so probably easy to change.

Yep. And the fact that there is a website I saved also that someone posted on here for the rubber couplers, we should be golden if we ever want to rebuild our "stockers"!!

Yeah I have been watching this on Facebook, I think I am going to order one and if my new one piece isn't smooth I'll go this route.

That's why I saved my stock DS, in case I do have any issues with my 1 pc in the future.

The carrier bearing is on back order for the Ac Delco ones and not available for the GM ones, Whats ones are you guys using when you replace yours?

This looks like a good upgrade judging by the comparison video there is a lot of slop, wonder if this is why 5th gens break so many axle shafts lol. I’m gonna preorder the stiffest they got as nvh doesn’t bother me too much lol my interior is basically stripped.

Ordered with both bushings, Now I need to order a new bearing, Not sure if I can get just the bearing. I may or may not use it but figured I could always re sell, Going to see how the new one piece works out first.
