Yeah, so much of this is based on speculation and what ifs buy investors. Nothing has even happened in the world to warranty higher oil prices. My advice is to not freak out and go sell your cars. When oil prices shot up several years back I sold my 2002 Camaro SS and my 2005 Silverado Z71. A couple of months later I was kicking myself.

I was only a kid, so I didn't drive then. But, I remember that. People would wait in line to get gas, pushing their car to the pumps instead of letting it idle.

I ignore prices at the pump.

How I make sure and get ahead is

I only buy 5 gal of gas at a time

And use my paypal card and chose credit at the pump.
[I only use corp station 99.9% of the time so not to hurt a storeowner.]

Paypal isn’t a credit card, its money I have but the station gets hit with higher fee’s that they pay per transaction and a % on if I chose credit over debit, plus 1% cash back from paypal as a cut for doing that.

Which in the end makes my 5 gal purchase a near or total loss as I pay at the pump and leave.

Now some won’t like that I do that, but I deal with gas prices like this “screw me, screw you.”

Don’t matter what I pay, it’s a loss for the station.
And if it’s a corp one. It affects their bottom line too.

Some places in San Diego are selling for 4.15 a gallon for 87 octane.

Last Sunday y said "screw this", and i crossed the border and got gas at $2.85 per gallon for 87 octane.

I paid $3.81 at Costco on wednesday. Luckly I am retired so I don't have to drive everyday. I usually plan my driving so I do more than one errand during a trip. The oil companies are gouging us because it all about supply & demand. It's very easy for them to slow down the refinary and blame it on repairs. They are all a bunch of greedy you no what bastards.

Hardly more than you. V6 and V8 city differs by 1 mpg . The V6 isn't exactly an economy car. We are all suffering. :(

What does classify as economy car.

I can get 29 + MPG with my Camaro on the highway and have averaged over 24 MPG since I bought it 13,000 + miles ago. This includes over 25 passes down the 1/4 mile strip. I like my V6 MPG.

And if you bought a V8, you would get 25 + MPG on the highway, and average 21 mpg since you bought it 13,000 + miles ago.

Not many people get those numbers. My point is that there is not that much of a difference in MPG if they are driven the same way, same conditions.
