Thanks Mike! Looking forward to this. You may be able to tickle a few ponies out of these given our PD setups and still stay emissions legal.

Sent you a PM with an idea.

Very informative thread for me. My shop was saying that I need to do headers and 3" exhaust to be able to push my setup further with the smaller pulley since they said it had plenty of fuel. They were saying the bottleneck was the stock manifold and exhaust. If I'm reading your setup right I could just do a 3" exhaust, smaller pulley, new tune, and then I should hit the fuel wall without really needing headers?

Keep in mind Mike is Running Race gas and an upgraded fuel system to achieve these results.

Your shop is correct, Reducing exhaust back pressure raises the ceiling of power on the limited Octane at the pump.

Out of the entire exhaust, the manifolds and cats are the most restrictive.

The cat back is not as bad as it looks but there is something to be gained there.

Think of the exhaust like this, it is only as good as the smallest hole which is up front.

Ted.

Thanks man. That will keep me straight. Was definitely looking to see about what would give me the best bang for the buck right now so it looks like headers and high flow cats.

Thanks again
