Sorry for the long post.
My name is Jeff. Just bought my new 2019 2SS. Loving the car so far. A little history about me. My mom bought a wrecked 1968 RS Camaro in 1972. Don't know what the extent of the damages were, but she had it repaired. As I got older, I became more interested in her car. She didn't drive it much at that point. Before I could drive, I would go out and start up the car, rev the engine(loved the glass pac sound), and I would detail the interior. I turned 16 in 1991. My mom gave me the 68 for my first car. The car was in rough shape. I took the car to shop class in High School. The shop teacher helped me rebuild the engine and get it road worthy. Had a child when I was 19. I ended up having to sell my car. One of the saddest days of my life. Told myself I would get another 68 some day. Fast Forward to today. I found out about 2 months ago, I have stage 4 Rectal Cancer. My wife and I agreed that I needed a new ride. She is an awesome woman! She gave me the option of getting another 68 or a new Camaro. I test drove the new Camaro, and all I could say was, where do I sign the paperwork. I love technology and that would have been something I would not of been happy with if I bought the 68. Anyhow, that is my story. Haven't quit smiling since my purchase. Live life like there is no tomorrow. You don't know what hand you will get dealt. |

Jeff, CONGRATS on the ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5/6. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wives', husbands, girlfriends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.
oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here. Welcome!!

Jeff a "HUGE" welcome my friend and congratulation on the new set of wheels. I am a survivor of sarcoma, still have the banana size tumor capsulated in my upper right femur. Initial Doctors wanted to take the entire leg immediately, told them I was quite fond of it and decided to travel to Dana-Farber cancer institute in Boston. When I asked the Doctor how long I had to live... he immediately conducted a fairly complete look over of my entire body! Finished he told me he could not find an "expiration date"! I asked him if he was a smart a**. His reply was, "only he knows when that is"! How true, I have been in remission for nearly 8 years and try and live my life to the fullest as I don't know what tomorrow will bring.
One thing I can promise you, you will be in my prayers this evening, God bless. Larry
