The fitment of the slip-on section on the driver side just behind the cast is looser then I would like to see. The rest of the kit has a much better assembly. The smaller clamp in the kit had to be worked a bit to get the correct fitment. The other 4 larger clamps in the kit fit perfect. I'm not sure if anyone else saw this with their setup. It seems to be a problem across a number of exhaust manufacturers.

So they can't install an exhaust right the first time... But want to install some more serious stuff in your car.

Right...

Like others have said. He has an exhaust leak on the drivers side near the cat. I had the same problem and code with my Borla. Copper RTV cured it. Now I don't have any cats, dang headers.

I recently fixed the P0420 issue on my car. My mistake was reusing the stock clamp welded on the driver's side primary cat and clamping it to Borla's X-pipe 60606. It worked fine for about 10000 miles, but eventually slowly burned through the gasket inside the clamp and started leaking. I finally had a chance to put the car on a lift and notice how different the stock clamp was compared to the one Borla provided (stock clamp has a rim on each side and Borla clamp is size 2.38". As shown in the picture below, using the Torque app, I was monitoring the primary catalyst monitor bank 1 and comparing it to bank 2 (bank 1 was still reading low because there was still a leak). A value of 0.35 is the minimum this car accepts or else it will throw a code. Now that I've replaced the clamp and properly installed it, it now reads about the same as bank 2. After a few driving cycles, the check engine light went away on it's own from the permanent history.

Like everyone is stating, mark sure everything is sealed very well and that should resolve it.

Did the same thing on a V6, left side flange leak PO420 code. Got a new steel shim gasket from GM and put the used and old together on the flange, no more leak, no more code's. The Borla flange has a issue that the double gasket corrects.
