Well, honestly I don't remember what color it is..... "rumor" has an orange for 17... take it for what it is worth.

Front end is already busy enough, heading deep into ricer territory here, no thanks....

And good luck going up or down ramps without scraping that splitter all to hell...

Function areo parts are hardly "ricer" they are "racer". It is VERY similar to the zo7 kit on the vette.

No different than going up or down ramps with a splitter on any other car

This blue car has under body and front/ rear black trim (like the Gen 5 ZL1). Anyone able to get a pic of what these are called? Or is it just the effects kit?

They can be purchased as a kit or individual piece

Mr. Z06 would like to have a word with you outside over the "ricer" part of your post.

These are dealer installed parts so can be added anytime, even the following years after taking delivery.

What are body effects? I'm doing research for my 2016 Camaro purchase and was wondering what it is.

Apples to oranges....a splitter is better suited to the Z06's body style and its function as a dedicated hard-core sports car for tracking; it's got the suspension and chassis setup that allows it "walk the walk" - that is - actually make full use of the aero those aero bits can add. The SS, in contrast, is really a road car, not a track toy, and those bits are next to useless at road-legal speeds. On the ZL1 or the Z28, well that's a different story.

Aesthetically, also, the front bumper area of the Z06 is much simpler and less busy than the SS's, so adding another element or two doesn't mess up the front end the way it does on the G6 SS. IMO, of course.

On scraping the splitter - not saying this is a problem unique to the SS. Actually, the SS may have a bit of an advantage here in that its front overhang is quite short. But I see so many scraped splitters around. Anyone like me who parks in a multi-level garage would be best to avoid these unless they don't mind trying to go into and out of the ramps semi-sideways all the time.

I'm reminded of once watching a top-down Ferrari 430 Spider enter a street from a gas station - the scraping noise it made on the relatively low curb ramp was loud enough to wake the dead, I broke out laughing it was so bad. Driver did not appreciate this, roared away on spinning wheels.... Anyone ever see the episode of Top Gear where the boys try to get 3 supercars out of a multi-level garage? Hilarious stuff.
