A factory team in Europe is long overdue. Hopefully they do well.

There are some pretty knowledgeable people in this forum, so can anyone tell me whether GM actually loses money on the Camaro currently?

To know for sure, you would need to have intimate access to someone on GM’s Financial Staff and/or someone on the product team, plus you’d have to define “make money” (on a contribution cost basis, on an operating basis, etc). The rest of us just have opinions. My opinion is GM does not lose money on Camaro.

GM puts a big emphasis on profit these days so if a vehicle program isn't profitable or at least a good investment for future profitability, it doesn't stick around very long.

I'd guess Camaro is profitable but just barely. Nowhere near the trucks/SUVs.

Anyone see random articles about Chevy "cancelling" the Colorado Trail Boss package because of its popularity? I read one article and thought none of it made any sense...

Yeah, something about orders having to be cancelled or the pkg stripped because of part constraints. It's just more of the fallout from supply chain disruption.

I mean I am glad they are going back to actual names, but do they need to dump all the past names just due to the shift to EV?

*looks at outrage over Blazer, Corvette losing round taillights/ exhaust at the corners/mid-engine*

Yep they do. Never mind.

I got an e-mail today that my dealer should be contacting me soon for options on this one. These should be hitting the streets soon.

Didn't know you put in for one. When did the email say to expect it? Seems like some guys have Spring 2022 and others are Fall 2022.
