I just saw information I wasn’t s’posed to see that confirms a Bronco Raptor in 2023.

Apparently they're planning to offer a Raptor Ranger as well. May not come until next-gen truck does. 2.7 EB as expected.

Anyone else hear that most Corvette engineers are being transitioned to electric vehicles?

They poached from the Camaro team for Hummer, so why not. Not to mention the Corvette will actually be electrified so they'll need crosstalk amongst those groups.

I guess if we want a "real" Corvette, we need to get one in the next few years.

In Corvette news, the 5.5L NA V8 rumor has popped up again.

Yep, the end of the gasoline engine from GM is coming and probably sooner than we realized.

I've seen quite a few car journalists talking about it. Rumored to be 5.5l, FPC, 600-650 horsepower and 9000 rpm redline.

Looks like C8 Corvette would follow same Camaro fate. I feel ZR1 would be cancel like Z/28 and feel GM wouldn't give any updates in C8 after they release C8Z06 and Hybrid trims.

The Z/28 failed because people want content and comfort as much, if not more so, than performance in their performance cars. That's why Corvette has never developed anything like the Z/28 or ZLE packages. Corvettes are DDs that can perform on the track, instead of track focused cars you can DD.

This is the part where I would chime in and say that there’s no way GM would develop an all new architecture and a new engine to go along with it and suddenly just walk away from it. Then I think about CT6, Omega architecture, and 4.2TT Blackwing and I get very, very sad.

I would also say the % of people that say they would buy a stripper all out performance car and teh % of people that actually do are quite different. At a certain dollar point people are going to want their cake and eat it too.

Thats why IMO why the ZLE is still fully loaded.
