The fenders are steel and I would replace not repair from your pic. As stated before use a gm fender. I replaced one on a truck several years ago and it rusted away while the rest of the truck remained solid

Yep get original replacements fenders.....they are made at the same time inventory parts are made at the plant. They just put them in different baskets for shipping.

Steel fenders, not like the God awful 4th gen's plastic. How ever I doubt the 2013 hoods are aluminum, seems like plastic or fiberglass to me.

My 2015 hood is definitely aluminum, checked with magnets last night. Fenders are steel
