GM High-Tech Performance Magazine

Well, when I went to get the mail today I noticed that I received an issue of Super Chevy with a paper cover on it saying GMHTP magazine has been discontinued....WHAT?!! That is by far the best magazine out there for people who love 4th, 5th gen F-bodys, Vettes, Grand Nationals etc... I have been getting GMHTP for a long time and always looked forward to receiving it in the mail every month. Just wondering is anyone else bummed about this or know what is going on? Hope it comes back!!

Same here for me. Never even knew there was any problems, they got a new editor a little while ago so that might have been the start of the problem. I got out of Super Chevy cause of the high dollar builds and little coverage of the new stuff. More time on the forums now I guess.

Same here......Except they're giving me Hot Rod to finish out my subscription.
I always thought it was a good rag too.
How about Camaro Now? Are they still doing it? I haven't seen one on a news rack for a while. I would subscribe to it, if they're still printing it and if they're selling subscriptions to it.

I think Camaro Now is semi annual, or quarterly. Not 100% sure though.

I believe I read that Camaro Now was discontinued also. There have been lots of car mags discontinued. Their explanation was that they are doing a consolidation.

All of them are going to go digital, i was told months ago this was happening in August September~ All the magazines are going digital to move into the 21st century thing i guess? I am old school and like to read from the paper but it appears to be a thing of the past!

Got the same thing this week instead of my Camaro Performers. I will not be renewing for Super Chevy. While it's an OK magazine and I've picked it up if there was something Tech wise I was interested in. I thumbed through it and there was an article on a Biscayne or some BS and I haven't opened it since.

I won a year subscription to Hot Rod so I'll have that for a bit but again when I thumb through and see old Dusters and such I'm just not interested. Guess I'll spend more time on here but I can't always get on line and that's when print magazines come into play.

Damn it, Damn it, Damn it

GMHTP was definitely the best car mag out there. They tried finishing the rest of my subscription with Super Chevy also, but I called them up and made them give me a refund. As for it going digital only, that's disappointing. I enjoy the convenience of the paper copy.
