Mine looks like the clear coat or something spiderwebbed in different places. For those that have replaced, did you have them painted or just ran with the black ones?

Mine have looked faded for about a year now. Going to have them wrapped in CF as I'm going to change all the gloss black on the car to CF. Couple of my friends havd wrapped them and it looks great.

Let me know how it turns out. Not a fan of CF myself but if the wrap works better/cheaper than painting lol.

The ones on my 2011 were doing that when I bought it last year, just pulled them and repainted them myself.

I'm glad I don't have an RS for this reason. Just bought a couple of them not too long ago for about $80 together. Don't know about the SS, but my LS roof moldings are rubber.

I just went out and looked at mine you had me so worried. I have always looked my camaro over every time I detail it in a weird way sorry to say so.it is a little weird.
Went I do this I turn all the lights out in the garage and it is really dark no windows. I use a ultra violet light and go over the whole car for scratches, scuff marks, buff marks, also stone scratches. Please excuse me I'm so [Anal] about my vehicles. Mine have no marks, scratches or fading. Just as good as when I bought it 10 years ago.

Awesome blue !! You are one of the lucky ones. Since mine was a daily for 9 of the 10 years I have had her, and she sat in the hot FL sun all day it took a toll on them, even though I kept her all cleaned and shined up. They are rubber and apparently the clear doesn't hold up too well..

Wrapped them in CF today. Looks much better than the cracking and fading.

Mine are in excellent shape nothing wrong with them. But I really like them carbon fiber. Are they hard to get out and put back in place?. What color did you use black and silver
Is there a DIY for doing this?

I was surprised how easy they came out. It only has a clip on the front and the back. I used the Vvivid glossy carbon fiber wrap 1’x5’. Link below.
