Rear Camera as Rear-View Mirror

Has anyone figured out a way to just turn on the rear camera while driving? It would be cool to use that as a rear-view mirror sometimes (especially in my convertible with the top up - not so easy to see out the back).

I saw on Jay Leno's Garage on YouTube that some of the high-end Porches let you switch to the rear-view camera as your rear-view mirror.

Anyone figured out a way to do that with the C7?

Thanks,
Raym

Looks like no one knows. I agree it might be of some utility if it could be done.

I've read a thread on this before and it turns out that the camera would be blurry and eventually useless once you start driving at normal speeds. It's a cool idea but unfortunately it wouldn't work with the specific cameras that are on our vehicles.

Coastal e-tech may have something in the future. I used one of their GM Lock Pick kits on my nav radio in my truck. One of the features was the ability to turn on the back up camera at all times. Worked great, especially for towing. Not sure if they will be able to hack the my link system though.
