Dirty Air Intake??

Would a dirty air intake cause feeling of pulsing during cruising aswell as bad gas milage?
At 70 mph, cruise control on, and flat ground I feel like the engine is pulsing like not a smooth injection to the engine. I cleaned my MAF and Throttle Body but am running a code P2176 so it seems to be idling weird.
Just wondering before I devote more time into this before I pay someone to fix it.

P2176 Chevrolet - Minimum Throttle Position Not Learned

Below are the possible causes listed on enginecodes.com

- Faulty Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) module
- Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) module harness is open or shorted
- Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) module circuit poor electrical connection
- Throttle plate sticking due to carbon build-up
- Engine Control Module

The only thing the catch can could fix is the carbon buildup, and if you cleaned the throttle body, that should be corrected. Any worn spots on the wiring up to the TB? What does the inside of the plug look like?

I took off the throttle body about 2-3 weeks ago and gave it a good clean. May be something I have to do again.
I was gonna take off the intake again and give the filter a clean, tubing the clean and MAF a clean. But, ill have to unplug the battery and if I do my check engine light will go off and then it may be an issue when I take it to the shop.

A couple of the causes listed deal with shorted and lose connections to the TB. I would check the wiring and plugs thoroughly when you have it apart.

I cleaned it and put the dielectric grease on the plugs. Fired up just fine and no check engine light (because of battery disconnect) but its still doing the upped revving when driving.
Idles fine in park.
What I did:
Cleaned and oiled k&n filter.
Cleaned intake pipe.
Cleaned MAF
Cleaned throttle Body
Unplugged all plugs then replugrd
Part of the engine (forgive me) connecting to the throttle body.

if you opened the throttle by hand when you had it off it may be damaged. You never open them by hand <with a screwdriver in the butterfly> as this will damage the electronic throttle control, I suggest people turn key on and have another person floor the pedal and clean the throttle, in your case you will need a relearn procedure done by a tech with a scanner I hope you have no damage good luck.

Or you could get an $8 can of Seafoam because it's about the same thing.

Considering what Firestone_SS said, you may be stuck going to the dealer to get the TB recalibrated. Wonder if that is something Bo White or VMax could do when they port one.

The Seafoam needs to go in the intake. I usually pour some in through the PCV port then shut it down and let it sit for 10-15 min. Then I start it up (with a DBW TB you need someone to keep it running by giving it a little gas) and pour some more in a little at a time. It will sputter and all kinds of smoke will come out, but that will get it clean. I figure most of the oil buildup comes from the PCV system anyway so where better to put the intake cleaner.
