New starter, dead car
Hey guys, need some help here... 2016 camaro ss with 102,000 miles on it. Just swapped the starter out as it was giving me some issues... heat soaked, slow crank, small fire .. any way I swapped it out, plugged everything back in. Started up, sounded so much better than the old one. Pulled out of the garage. As it was running I got out to put my tools away and it just shut off..... now I have no power whatsoever.. key fob doesn't lock and unlock, door switches won't lock/unlock.. nothing on the dash, no lights... the only lights that come on are the light for the push to start and the dots for the fan speed on my a/c cluster... went back under today to check fittings and connections but nothing seemed loose. Any idea??? Battery says 12.4 volts.. still no power when connecting to jumper cables too.
Anything I'm missing here? |

Got it fixed. Fusible link next to positive battery terminal blew out because starter cable was touching heat shield. Got the part from chevy dealer.
