Lightbulb C7 Corvette (non-Z51) spotted testing in Tempe AZ, reportedly with Z06 prototype!

TORCH RED sighting in Arizona

Non-Z51 Base, GT Seats.

Rumor has it, a Camo'd Z06 was with them going to the Yuma Proving Grounds, this again, just a rumor.

From the OP:

Quote:
Car in question is a wet sump LT1 car, with an A6 automatic (not the forthcoming 8 speed auto), silver wheels, glass roof, and some interior trim that is pre-production which he was not allowed to photograph.
THe driver is part of the testing/validation/engineering group for the C7 program, and there are currently 2 other cars driving around Phoenix !!!!

Now, the super bitchin' news......

The driver is on his way to the Yuma proving grounds to continue testing a heavely camoflaged Z06 !!!!!!!
Dave asked if he could disclose any info on that car's engine, which he replied "Nope".

Doesn't look as good without the rear spoiler IMO.

Glad to hear about the Z06 prototype!

Also, just read that the torque assembly tube on this one has been shaved to reduce weight and is undergoing testing.

Hmm...this got moved out of the official torch red thread, must be witchcraft. :suspicious:

So this is the roughly mid-$50K Stingray I may end up with if a 1LT... not too shabby. Hmm... I'm still leaning on a 2LT.

Seeing as the 2lt is just ooooooo on this one I agree. Too many fancy shiny things and such to play with and look at.

The 1lt is still a heck of an offering

Plus I don't think these pics do it enough justice... can't wait to eventually see all the trim models in person... whether in the showroom, in the lot, or awaiting delivery to the early buyers.

There's something definitely "space-ship" about that car when viewed from the rear....

Maybe it's because you can't see the tires....Cool, either way!
