Clutch Stopping Transmission Hard
Hey guys.
I am not familiar with cars or even working on them either. I am very concerned. I bought a used camaro 2015 LS with 2700 miles and its now at 5500. Recently i noticed, especially coming down on a hill, while putting in the clutch, my transmission nudges. I figured, eh its the hill. The past week, even on flat ground, my car nudges hard when putting in the clutch to come to a stop from 1st gear. What should I do? think if i take it to the dealer, they will fix it or charge me or what. Please help. Thanks! Germy2011 |

What exactly is a "nudge"? With that kind of mileage, I would assume it's a user issues as opposed to the clutch itself. Please be more descriptive in what the car and clutch feel like.

are you saying the car moves forward under engine power while in gear and depressing the clutch pedal?
as in, more power while depressing the clutch pedal than while the clutch is fully engaged? what's the gas pedal doing during all of this? good news is, 5 year, 100,000mile power train warranty. dealer won't charge you to fix it. they'll be able to tell if something is wrong... hopefully. |

You are most likely feeling the car stopping the engine braking effect once you push the clutch in. It's perfectly normal.

That is normal, you will learn to be smoother with it eventually.

My bad guys I typed it up really fast. Was at work.
So as I'm driving and approaching a stop. I engage the clutch to take it out of first or even stay in first to stop. As the clutch is going in. The car thuds. It's the transmission for sure. You can fee the power train stop. According to the Internet this is fairly normal for the manual transmissions. I just wanted to make sure |

as you get used to it, your motions will become smoother.
At what RPM are you depressing the clutch? If you're creeping along at 1k rpm, then you won't notice anything when you engage the clutch. If you're at 4500, then you'll definitely notice the driveline letting up... |

Yes, It would be more than likely over 2K RPM, but not over 4500 but i get the idea. I will go to 711 on my break in 2 hours and test it out a little bit.
Like i said i did a little research and they said its kind of normal. I am not use to such a powerful engine, so i do know how to drive a stick, Been driving one since 13. Just was a little worried. Thanks for the feedback. |
