Laguna Seca Aug 1st

I'll be going to the Aug 1st track day at Laguna Seca with Hooked on Driving. Anyone else interested in joining me?? I know some of you expressed interest in going to Laguna Seca some time back...

I'll most likely be in the B run group. 90db but if you have stock or NPP should not be a problem.

I'd join if I wasn't 2400 miles away.

Worth the drive!! It's the closest track to where I live actually (Google says it's 74.1 miles away.)

I might be down if I'm aronud. I'm not sure if I'm going to Sturgis yet but if I'm not than I'd be down to go. I'd be coming down from Livermore with a buddy who has a ZL1. Neither of us have ever done any road racing but have been thinking of giving it a try. We're more Drag racers and mile runners so looking for something different.

Both the ZL1 and the 1LE are excellent road course cars and if all you've ever done with them is the quarter mile/standing mile you are missing out!! It would be a blast to have more than 1 Camaro, as the last time I was there, it was just me and like 4 or 5 Mustangs... And you get coaches with HOD, and also car control exercises, etc, etc.

Let me know if you have any questions and you can also PM me if you do decide to do it and I'll give you more info.

Mark, no problem. Let us know how Miller goes! I just might have to head out there sometime. I wonder how the Thunderhill 5 mile compares to Miller...Seems like Miller is a big version of the "old" Thunderhill.

I coach with HOD, it is a well run organization and a good value IMO. One of my favorites.

Will do, I'll PM you if it's a go, both our cars are stock so we won't be killing ourselves with Overpowered cars.
We have "other" means of competing in the Quarter and the Mile!

Thanks for the link, gonna check it out, I've been seeing people talk about HOD for a little while so time to see what everyone is talking about.

I could not agree more. It's worth the extra bit of money because they do an excellent job at HOD to make sure you are driving to your best ability and the coaches are really good too.

I'm not sure I'm allowed to discuss pricing on this board but if you visit their website I've linked in the previous post you can see for yourself the costs. (Laguna Seca is a famous track, is very popular, and is located within a park, so the price tends to be a little steeper at this venue.)

Okay HOD sold out now of A and B run groups so I hope anyone that wanted to sign up has done so. Looks like we will have at least 2 1LEs there and possibly a 3rd and possibly a ZL1 as well. I don't doubt there may also be a new Z/28 or two there since they are new cars and I'm sure their drivers don't want to miss the opportunity!!
