SMG auxillary vs ZL1 intank

Currently researching my fuel options for running full E85 on 8-9psi with stock cam in my SS. I know the popular setup has been full LT4 high and low side for a LT1, but it will be near or at it's limits for my requirements on E85. I want to have plenty of fuel. I am thinking LT4 injectors, LPE big bore, and SMG low side. I don't want to run meth.

It seems to me that if you are ok with tapping the fuel tank, adding a Aux low side will support more power then a ZL1 in-tank with a Voltage booster and the price is not much different. Install time is quite a bit less with the SMG setup too. Does this sound correct?

Curious to hear if anybody is running a similar setup on e85 and stock cam...how much power did you make?

I maybe wrong, but I thought the skidmarks setup came in after the stock intank and added in a booster pump then replaced the factory line upto the stock HPFP. I like the solution but wonder if the intank LT1 pump will be a restriction? Real easy and cheap.

Vs the DSX setup that did tap into the fuel tank, used a MAF signal to turn secondary pump on with a completely new line all the way to just before the HighPressureFuelPump. At that point it was T-in. Don't know as I've never seen one and I'm kind of scared of drilling into a fuel tank, call me a wimp.

Intrested in a easy and resonable solution...

The SMG is a great kit. Simply taps the bottom rear of the tank and is activated by an adjustable Hobs switch so no fear of electronic malfunction like the other brand has seen.

My buddy just ordered and is installing his setup from them
Today actually. Got the injectors from them as well.

I’ve seen cars 600-900/1000 on those aux setups. No issue.

Guys are super helpful. They have a coupon code on their Instagram- “INSTA” helps out a little.

I have the SMG kit on my car, mounts just like the DSX kit, uses a tried and true hobbs trigger vs the map jumper dsx does nice stuff too, genuine walbro pump, nice lines and fittings, everything fit extremely well.

If I go Procharger in the future, the SMG kit is the one I will choose. It is similar to the dsx kit, except as I understand it, the SMG uses boost as a reference and dsx uses the map sensor.

I did mine in about an hour and a half. And most of that was waiting for the tank to drain.

Good info guys...

Did you also change the intank pump or are you still running the stock pump with the SMG kit?

Isn't that about half the price of the DSX pump kit

IIRC, DSX is more like $1000.
