Overall I'm a sucker for V8's but some V10's and 12's do sound nice, depends really on the car and exhaust.

Unfortunately the modern V12's to me really sound like two crappy V6's together with some sort of aftermarket exhaust.

I love V8's

And I'd still take a Ferrari V12 if someone had a spare lying around somewhere just to get rid of

Hmmn best sounding cant really say cause even though I do love the sound of a nice deep throated V8 burble I also love the way my Fiat 500 abarth sounds and get just as many compliments as I did in my Camaro when I had it. So ill name some cars that sound great to me.
That Lfa is amazing sounding
Any older 60's muscle car
My Abarth as stated before
Most V8's with Flowmasters on them 40 series or even 10 series if you want loud
I also think Ducati's sound amazing with the right aftermarket exhaust's on them
Harleys that aren't stock exhaust too sound great too.
So I really don't have a favorite

WHAT??? No H-16 option???

Then how about a little Lotus 38?

Franchitti is even wearing the right coveralls. I'd kill to drive Jimmy Clark's Indy winner. Clark and Gurney are my racing idols

Worth a watch even if just for the history. One of the most beautiful racing cars ever made, too...as well as the Lotus 49 you get a glimpse of

...or maybe an orgy of F1 from '67?

This stuff makes my heart sing

For me it's between a V8 and a Boxer engine. The Subarus have great sounding engines. Even the 3.3l boxer-6 in my old SVX sound great with the right exhaust on it.

I like a deep base sound in my engines. Small cylinder high winding engines are too high pitched. Love me some big bore.

depends alot of the car what they sound like..
cuz u have the I4 civics that sound horrible then u have the I4 SRT that sounded throaty..

V10s & 12s sound cool like F1 car high pitched..
but V8s sound scarey and deep
All depends what u personally like..

V10 or V12 at over 10,000 rpms. Wish the V8 could do that

It could if they built it for it. Destroke rev it high. U lose tq but make up with high rpm hp
use lighter pistons and drivetrain parts too helps.. just depends what manufacture going for
