2010 Camaro SS 6.2L LS3 engine options

I have a bad lifter hole, and need a new block unless someone suggest trying to machine that hole. Seems crazy hard to find a block or lower half to work with. I have heads done and ready to go as part of the original Texas Stage 3 CAM kit on this car, with headers and straight pipes.

Any help with ideas on finding an iron or alum block would be much appreciated. Also thoughts on the iron block. Machine shop suggested it, and I'm not even what block that is??

If you 're going to rebuild it, try a local junk yard. If you want a new short block, try a performance shop like Jegs. The have new aluminum LS3 short blocks but they are not cheap, about 2800. Check with local Chevy dealer.
