I can assure you other than the NVH concern most people have, GM's EVs will be interesting and exciting, but unlike most of the people commenting, I know what GM is capable of and I expect they will deliver on that. GM has a truly world class ride and handling group and I see no reason that won't be applied to every single EV they produce.

I also expect that GM will give Cadillac EVs a V/Blackwing version as well. That will NOT be a blah blah mobile.

So other than NVH, GM very much cares about enthusiasts and my prediction is they understand your and others hesitancy and will work hard to overcome it with great products.
I dont believe you are wrong, but their 1st and 2nd generations of EVs won't deliver like we would all like them to. It will take several years to see what works well and what does not. We "should" have some exciting GM EVs in deep in the 2030's, but every EV coming down the pipeline anytime soon will have multiples flaws, some that won't be immediately apparent either.

Somehow the only interesting SUV/truck/behemoth in this thread, mentioned above by TXCSSU, got ignored: https://www.cadillac.com/future-vehi...alade-v-series

$120,000 SUV that's going to struggle to hit 10 miles per gallon and require premium. Quick and comfy with an unquenchable fuel thirst.

I love the looks of the 1970 Chevelle. I had a Cutlass (same platform) in 1970, and when I look at and drive my Gen5 Camaro, that is what it reminds me of.

Similarly, the current Challenger should be called a Charger. In 1970, they were both 2 door cars, but the Challenger was a torpedo while the Charger was a tank.
I have had 2 1971 Cutlass, 79, 2 1980's, 81 and 82 and I disagree with your statement that the gen 5 and 6 Camaro is the same size as the Chevelle and Cutlass, The Weight sure car weighs more with new crash requirements.
When sitting in the Camaro there is no way that it feels similar to a 1970 Chevelle/Cutlass, my 1980 Cutlass feels huge compared to the Camaro and it is smaller than a 1970.

LOL even the thieves don't want the Camaro

On a similar note my 1992 Mustang notch 5.0L was stolen in 95, at the time Mustang was one of the highest cars stolen.

Everything is relative fewer cars on the road make it a harder car to find and steal, anything made today is not that hard to steal, mine was taken by a tow truck as it had a alarm if opened.

With more cars on the road people looking to upgrade wheels, seats, trim makes it easy to sell parts, not many would be stolen just for a joy ride.

You know that a lot of cars are stolen because the person that bought them can't afford them and arrange to have someone steal them and just claim the insurance money, right?

There's an area out here called "Oak Cliff" that always has burned out car carcasses from people "stealing" the vehicles and then setting them on fire. I figure if Charger/Challenger buyers are of poor credit then their cars are going to be stolen more to get them out of their loan.

Not saying that it doesn't happen (people having cars stolen to avoid paying) but come on saying that is why is foolish, I guess in your mind GM has a better class of customer.

Must be a down south thing because not that common in my area.

In all the people that I have known there was one person that didn't/couldn't make the payments on his ride, it was a 1993 GMC Sierra. He hid it in a friends impound yard so that they had a hard time trying to repro it.
they finally found it in the end.

I think someone's already posted that it's easier to get approved for a Challenger/Charger per Chrysler Capital, so if they're accepting high risk applicants, it only makes sense. I just saw the offers and it's 0% for 72 months. I think GM Financial only has 0% for 48 months.

And as I've stated before, I really couldn't care less if a certain car is more/less popular. I don't buy something because someone else likes it. I buy it because I like it.

For what it’s worth, I saw a report on stolen challengers And in the report the specific cars were being targeted at dealerships.

I agree. One glaring flaw will be the lack of a V8.....

The 0% is only for well qualified buyers.
