When turning on the Heater

When I turn on the heater, The Snow flake turns on automatically. Any way to disable it?

That's probably a malfunction.

To MY knowledge:

The snowflake indicates that the AC compressor is activated, and should only be on if you have activated the AC, or if you have the defroster on (the AC compressor takes moisture out of the air, thus helping to dry the windshield faster than just circulating "undried" air over the surface).

On mine, the snowflake is not illuminated when I have just the heater on...

When I initially turn on, the "snow flake" turns on automatically.
I always have to press on the "snow flake" to turn it off.

It's normal. A/C removes moisture from the air so the car windows do not fog up. Cars have been this way for many years.

What this guy said. The car is assuming you don't want frozen window from the inside syndrome.

Yup, A/C is actually a great method to prevent fogging.

That looks like your a/c is on to me. I've never used the heat before, but i have used the vents in the mode you have lit up on the left. Press the snowflake again and it should go off. The a/c usually only kicks in when you use the defroster, not using the vents on the dash and floor.

Once you push the snowflake button to turn off the compressor it should not continue to turn on by itself. You have a problem if it turns on , mine does not do that.

That's funny I had the same thing happen the other day. Except when I use the A/C in the summer and get back in the car after awhile the A/C is turned off. Who knows lol.

Yep mine always comes on when I turn the heat on. But if I shut the car off with the heat on when I come back later it remembers I turned the AC off.
