Negative there ghostrider.

Hit the lock button, then quickly hit the remote start button and hold.

Crisis adverted. Everyone back to the ranch for beer and BBQ.

Hello all!

I have no problem remote starting the car (press lock once, then press and hold the remote start button), but the manual says you can extend the time another 10 minutes by again pushing the lock, then remote start button. I've tried this but it still only runs the initial 10 minutes. Anyone have any luck keeping the car running that extra 10 minutes? It would be nice to use when the weather is cold...to get the ice off of the windshield.

It actually shuts the engine off when you pop the hood too.. Makes it a B!tCh to work on the engine and trying to use remote start..

This was a problem on my G8. It was the solenoid for the gas tank that was bad. Once replaced the problem went away.

It's all about the CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. Fix that problem and your remote start will work. I had the same problem after installing headers. Once I found and fixed the problem to the CHECK ENGINE LIGHT the romote start worked. It happened several times till I got it right.

Remote Start

Yup, if you have an engine light on, you will hear the solonoid click but no start. Reset the error code and it should start. Had an engine light, reset the error code, tried it and ZOOM😃

Exactly... AND, I keep forgetting. I don't drive mine often, so tonight I went into the shop and used the remote start to start it up and let it run for a bit. So it was running and I sat down inside and was listening to the stereo when I thought, "I should open up the hood to give a peek make sure everything is good in there before I shut down for the night." Well blammo... car turns off again, LOL.

Mine was intermittently not working. I had a cel for p0650 code, check engine light not working. Had this problem for awhile until I replaced the battery and then I never had another cel and the remote start has worked every time since.
