SS 1LE Tires done at 6k

I've had my camaro for about a year now, with less than 6k miles on the odo: went to the dealership to patch a leak (nail in tire) on my driver side rear. Had a wheel and tire package, but according to the dealership I had 2/32nds of tread left and the warranty company wont replace it. So I have to replace at least the rear tires, only at 6k miles though! I've taken it to the track twice and a handful of mountain runs with maybe 2 launches. I've seen 10k miles as the most common tread life on these tires, I'm no saint but I am not doing burnouts every week.

What's everyone else's tire life in similar conditions?

Driving hard on the track with 0 toe I can stretch them to about 1200 miles when they cord. With some negative toe on the front I get 600 miles and they cord.

First set was 4k
Second set was 7k

So 6k is give or take about right. Had one friend do 12k but he accelerates like a 1996 honda civic with 10 people in the car ALL the time.

OK I Understand won't replace it/warranty, but they won't patch the tire? I understand industry standards about tread depth and what they think is a liability, but these tires 2/32 isn't unreasonable. Unless youre in the sidewall or too close to the sidewall with the nail, sure.

Ok so looks like that's how the life is if you drive hard, thanks for the feedback.

They said their warranty company wouldn't touch it, whatever: I'll patch it myself next time.

I drive hard, and I've tracked about 7 days. My rears were gone a 15,000. Fronts are nearly spent at 18,000 mi.
