If I had needed a 4-door sedan, this would be it. Went by a dealership Sunday and I noticed that this car has a gas guzzler tax of $1300. 6.2L wSFI, so no AFM and $500 for the spare tire option.

Also, I like the looks of the Malibu.
It's GM's top selling Sedan! |

Should have re-badged the G8. So it's an awesome car but I wouldn't buy one because it looks boring. I'd keep my V8 Grand prix GXP which is an inferior car over this but I would have bought a G8. Looks like a Camry or other import only worse.
Sorry. Not a fan. |

I like them a lot. If I could I would get one. Especially now that you can get it with magnetic ride and a manual.

The SS is an amazing car. Very low production numbers and loaded to the gills. Refined performance...very well done. I'm holding out on getting one til I see what they do for the final production year in 2018. I want the farewell edition, whatever that may be.

We own a 2009 G8 GT Red with Red/Black int. all the bells plus Pedder's coil over's, several other mods makes 460 at rear.A great track car. Would buy new SS if we sold this low mileage Hot Rod. Wife loves her car. We say buy an SS if you can. They keep up with cars selling for 2 times the price.

I've never drove one but I'm sure it's a sweet ride. Problem is the exterior styling is so basic... looks like a Malibu. If I had one... I'd consider adding something like some ground effects to make it look mean. I thought the G8 looked better.
the other problem is there is such low volume, aftermarket body parts will be few. being LS3 though, engine mods should be plenty. |

Its a good car, but its upstaged by the Dodge Charger. The SS is supposed to get a manual transmission this year, and I heard there was talk of integrating the 1LE's suspension components with it.

This! It will definitely be getting the manual tranny and a couple of new colors as well. The SS is a killer "sleeper".
