No, not necessary. But 2" won't lose power. It will gain a bit up of power up top, too. If more mods are done in the future, like MSD IM, cam and/or heads, they'll do really well.

If it were my 427, I'd go with 2".

Bad video of my exhaust but, the sound is there. Full ARH exhaust with x-pipe cats.

What about LG Motorsports headers? I think they are popular in the Corvette world.

Check his signature. He has a stage 5 Vengenance Racing package which includes a cam plus quite a few other mods. Some of your questions and replies come across a little harsh but maybe that is just me. Best of luck. Welcome to the forum. Not quite as much activity here as some forums but it does have a lot of great people. Enjoy your Z.

I suppose at the end of the day, the stock Z/28 exhaust is quite adequate, and if I want a little more power and sound (5-15hp), I can always add Kook or American Racing Headers. Pulling the exhaust flapper fuse helps but my local Dealer say it's not a good idea to pull that fuse so after 3 pages it's still not clear the way to go but thanks anyhow.
