Did you get your shotgun?

They are VERY similar to a glock but have a few more advanced features. Of all the Glocks I've tried none shoot as smooth and consistantly as my Springfield XD 4" .40

They also have an XDm which has a few more features to it. I would look for a 4" barrel or even a 5" if you don't mind the extra weight.
Thanks for the suggestion. I'll look into it. I need to save money right now, and school is crazy. But as soon as I get the time and cash I'll go to a range and try some different ones out.

You can get a .44, and only need a .50 barrel and magazine and just swap the two when you're inclined.

I'm planning on doing just that. I plan on using the .44 just for home defense and .50 for flame throwing when I go shoot. They way I figure it - a criminal is likely to recognize that particular handgun pretty quickly, and it might even discourage them from continuing their course of action. If it's necessary to discharge the firearm, I think the .44 is more than enough, and even overkill. Shock and awe is my goal.

I've always wanted this gun since I first saw it in a magazine. No - it's not too practical, but it's being improved and the current Mark XIX is the best to date. I plan on loading my own rounds for the AE and the .44. Maybe I'll step up to their muzzle break, too eventually. $2K for what I'm thinking I'm wanting is a big chunk, though. I'm considering a S&W .500 mag, too. Those are legal, and several hundred bucks left.

Bigger is better, lol.
A .50 with the muzzle break is exactly what I want. Painted black
They are expensive though.
I figured not as a first gun, but in the future I would love to have one.

A friend of mine got one of those S&W 50 cals when they first came out. Took it to an indoor range...first shot it blew the ceiling tiles out and everyone stopped shooting...wtf was that!? echoed through the range. They told him he couldn't shoot that anymore...

Nice. I have a couple of Bushmasters, 1 Colt, 1 Oly, 1 DPMS Bullbarrel upper that I swap out on a couple of them. Is it problematic owning AR's in NJ or just the mags?

Yea the mags are an issue, along with the bayou lug, telescoping stock, and pistol grip. NJ sucks!!!!!!!! You can get away with 1 bad option. So my stock is fixed, had to send out barrel for bayou removal and I only have 15rd magus, but lots of them.

Which Geissele?

I had an SSA, switched out to an SD-3G, then switched that out to an SD-C. The SD-C resides in my duty rifle and the SD-3G resides in an extra lower that someday will have an upper. I am leaning towards a Noveske Infidel upper at the moment.
