WHAT SPARK PLUG AND GAP
Hey guys, so ESS system is on its way. You can see my engine mods in my sig already. I'll be running roughly 10lbs. Seems most run an NGK TR7. What gap would you guys run? Thanks

0.028" - 0.032" my new tuner put me in that range.
Juiced motor sports didn’t even gap my plugs correctly, hence why I was breaking up at high rpm (sigh****)

0.028" can carry you up to 13-15psi boost and still get a nice idle

Best thing to do would be to read your plugs, and not just throw in whatever.

Br7ef at 28-30.. if its not misfiring at WOT then you dont need a tighter gap.

NGK TR7 .028 - .030, 15 - 17 PSI no break up and good idle.

Ive run the ngk tr7ix at 32 and the ngk br7ef at 32. I dont see any real difference between the two perfomance wise. The br7ef is copper non projected tip plug, which is supposedly safer if you’re planning on running alot of boost. They are much cheaper... like $2 each. If staying arpund 10psi I would probably stay with the IX plug, but theyre expensive, maybe have a slightly better idle. Thats what Jannetty recommends anyway.
Great to hear another ESS kit going into a camaro. Let me know if i can help in anyway.

Tr7ix has been good to me. I had ZR1 acdelco plugs and a tuner recommended i swap for these before the tune, Zero break up. They come ready to roll out the box as well, no need to fuss around.
