Does the 4L80 swap require modifications to the trans tunnel to fit?
PS I am already doing 1.56 60' with a M6 and 17s. I want low 1.4 with an auto swap. |

You have to cut part of the inner rail out for the trans plug and i beat the passenger side tunnel in a little with a big hammer

The 4L definitely heavier. Ive taken the tr6060 out twice and the 4L out twice on jackstands in my garage.

Well that makes me feel better now if we knew what a 4l80 weighs compared to a th400. I'll see if I can find that somewhere. I weighed in at 4060 with me in the car but I don't think I had the cage in it yet. Thanks for the input guys!

Jakes performance transmissions said the 80e weighs 38lbs more than the th400. So its pretty much the same as tr6060 or at least within 20lbs.
