question on intercooler and trans cooler placement

So I took off the front nose tonight and started goofing around with the intercooler and trans cooler. The ESS intercooler is massive. Literally takes up all the space in front of the rad. I have no way to mount my trucool 40k trans cooler that wont be partially in front of the intercooler. Thoughts? Think that will be ok?

The trans cooler will actually be about 1.5" lower than what the pic shows

Well for anyone doing an ESS blower, the trucool 40k is NOT a good fit lol. That intercooler is massive. Took me all night to fab up mounts and end up having to trim the inside of the front nose a good bit to get it to clear. Only covers the top 5" of the intercooler. Should be good to go

There’s a 2nd BOV right? I remember in El’s thread he had to fab up a 2nd BOV valve since he was pushing a lot of air, and the rinky dink one they included couldn’t do the job.

With the vortech Kris @ jannetty said it wasnt needed. Once I go bigger on the blower, I'll need one

Not yet. With my compression i was a little worried of making a bit too much boost with that beast. Its coming, probably G4, but trying to keep my 6L80 alive for at least a summer lol

Bringing this back from the dead. Did you ever get the tru cool to work with these intercoolers? I am in the middle of my manual to 4L80 swap to go with my 408 and G4-95.

Not the same cooler as yours. It does a good job of keeping the temp around 180.

I have a Derale cooler. No issues making back to back runs at the track all day long. Plus it mounts right on top of the intercooler.
