Supercharging. What else?

Supercharging. What else?
Ok.
Going FI this winter.
Planning on ESS Tunings kit with their G3X Vortech supercharger.

What I really need to know is what other changes should I make to maximize my efforts while I am there. Not trying to go crazy, so throwing the entire catalogue at it is not what I need.
I have 1 7/8 headers now, should I or do I need to go with 2”?
Will an aftermarket intake manifold make a difference?
CN I get a manifold now without losing any of the power that I have. I know I won’t gAin any hp with it, but would it hurt.
I also have a 3.54 rear diff that I would like to use, but I don’t want to install it now just to take it out after the supercharger.
Anyone’s (professional) help is appreciated.

I wouldnt waste money on an intake manifold if you’re looking to make under 1000 hp. Keep the 1 7/8, no point in going 2inch now. I see you dont have a cam, I’d get the BTR ls3 centri cam or talk to Jannetty about thiers.
Which blower are you getting? The G3X is a really nice piece, but its not made by Vortech.

ESS offers these head units in their kits: (in order of power capability, my opinion)
Vortech V3Si
ESS G3
Vortech YSi. (Requires oil feed/return)
ESS G3X
ESS G4X (coming soon)
Vortech YSi-b (Requires oil feed/return)

I would highly suggest a proper triple fuel pump setup with a return line, a good adjustable fpr, good injectors and a knowledgeable tuner.

Also don't skimp on the a good oil pump and if you do a triple pump I would suggest changing them to a PTFE lines (just in case you wanted to run race gas) It is also a good idea just to do it once. Besides what was mentioned I think you will be good. Overall you'll probably might need suspension work

Suspension and drivetrain. I put an LSA on and just had to upgrade both axles to 1LE models.

It’s a slippery slope once you go FI... Going down the rabbit hole is no joke. LOL. I was only planning on doing a blower with my cam setup, then It went o fuel upgrade/ twin disc clutch/ suspension/ body styling etc etc.

Skip the intake, stick with the 1 7/8, and get a fuel system. You’ll always want more.

Aluminum drive shaft. Won’t increase HP but it will greatly, insanely, reduce a whole lot of drag.

I completely agree.
I originally thought I will leave it with stock cam , stock fuel pump and then I started doing research and went insanely crazy. I ended up getting a complete cam kit, twin disk clutch, complete fuel system (Fore Innovation fuel system) bigger injectors, Flex fuel kit and intake manifold with upgraded fuel rails. I also think I need to get rear suspension upgrades, drag radials and I am thinking that I would need to upgrade my NPP exhaust to a full 3in exhaust. (Thinking of getting Corsa Exhaust)

I went with an Edelbrock E-Force S/C. I didn't need to have outrageous HP. See mods in my sig below.

Always wanted a 10.90 car. Since I was a kid.

Don’t need insane power. Just want fun on street and know that I can take just about any vehicle around. I know someone is always faster, and I don’t street much, but just want to know I can.

I have spoken at length with Jannetty, to the point that I was going to take the car to them and drop it off. Their quote was about $22k, supercharger, cam, convertor.
That was a bit much and off putting.
I kept trying to figure out what I really needed/wanted.
I have come to the conclusion that I can get the same amount of power from the supercharger @5-7psi as I can with a GPI 3VVT camshaft kit.
The s/c would be easier for me because I would not have to go into the engine.
If this proves not to be enough, then I am willing to go in the engine ( or have someone do it for me)
