Cool 5th gen LS3

Just came from a 2013 v6 mustang to a 2015 Camaro SS LS3 with the 1le suspension package. Loving the car so far. Its a lot faster then my v6 mustang, but I want it to give me that feeling of pushing me back in my seat more. any suggestions for first mods? I have the NPP exhaust with fuse pull right now.

Other than an intake not much without saying good bye to your warranty... If your not concerned about warranty, then it's just a matter of your budget.

It appears you don't have a true 1LE which also comes with 3.91 gears and a different tranny as the hood is white not black. But you have the 1LE suspension so perhaps 3.91 gears in the rear would liven it up and can be done without voiding warranty if done by GM at a dealership I believe?

Congrats on the nice new car!

Thank you! Yea its not a true 1LE its just a 1SS with the 1LE suspension added from the dealer. Do the 3.91 gears really make that much of a difference?

Like qcman said, your final drive ratio is 3.45 right now. A 3.91 or smaller gear will wake it up a lot and I believe that if you have it done with the dealer you are still covered under warranty. Not 100% sure about that though..

If you want to use or need to use your GM warranty, leave your Camaro stock.

Right thats what I meant it had the suspension from the 1LE but not the trans or gears it has which are different from every regular SS.

I don't have 3.91's myself so I can't speak from experience but I have read its quite a good kick in the pants feel. And might not affect warranty if dealer installed and the speedo re-cal'd.

I think to adjust the speedo the computer has to be accessed which could put warranty at risk if not done by GM. I'm not sure on this part either though

I will have to call GM and look into this. Thanks for the info! How does a cold air intake feel on the ls3 without a tune?

NP.. Yes I would call and ask to get the right info. I think what I'm saying is correct I'm just not positive on it. I don't have a LS3 I have the auto L99 which is a bit less HP than yours stock.

As a guess I would say 5-8 RWHP for a CAI but I'm sure some others will chime in and correct me if I'm off on that.... My car is all stock except the tune for the engine and trans no CAI or gears or anything so far...

A performance tune would no doubt wake it up but its a risky choice on such a new car. I waited til my bumper to bumper was nearly finished before tuning mine but am also glad I made the jump too!
