3.91 gears with eaton truetrac installed
Well I had this installed Friday and it feels much faster now even though I really haven't got on it at full throttle as of yet. The only thing keeping me from doing it is this little noise every now then when I get to a complete stop and put the gear in first. Is this normal for the truetrac?

I have the same setup and the same noise. I change the gear oil every 500-700 miles. All seems well.

500 to 700 miles? Why? I would think the gear oil could stay there for at least 20k Mi after the first oil change
|

I don't see any need in changing every 500-700 miles.

I have 20k miles since mine was installed. Had the fluid changed after first 500 miles, but not since. 500 miles is crazy, I drive that much in a week, no way would i change the fluid in it weekly.

what type of noise do u hear? I hear noise from the rear, but i think its a bearing, not my trutrac.

Its like a real low thump or clunk when I put the gear in first after I make a complete Stop. This isn't every time just like every 2or 3 times that I stop . I don't hear any noise while going or turning though. That's perfect
