Convertible Top Fading

Took my convertible into the dealer to have them look at the top, the top is fading, turning white. According to the service folks, GM isn't quite sure what to do with it. They aren't sure what is causing the fading or how to prevent it from happening again if they replace the roof.

Anybody else having any issues with their tops similar to my issue? If so, can you provide me some feedback with your experience.

Thanks!

Nope, nothing at all other than the local 'quarter' car wash.

That's one of the problems. If you want to care for it properly check out some of the detailing forums. There are several products for cleaning and protecting your top.

Yes, I'm well aware of the 303 top protectant, etc. I have some, just haven't applied it yet.

And my top is still just like it was the day I got the car.
