Is the 1LE model too much for street use?

Hello members,
This is my first post but have been following the forum for some time. I love the aggressive styling of the 1 LE but curious if this is too much for regular street use. I don't live in an area with pot holes, it will be mostly for highway cruises with few mountain roads. No track time for me. Thanks in advance.

The mag suspension is really nice if you just daily driving the car, the 1LE will be a bumpier and harsher ride. A solution can be getting the regular zl1 and add all the aero bits yourself if the styling is what you are after. The 1LE is meant for the track, designed for the track, will it work as a daily driver? Yes. But is it better than a regular zl1 at that? No

Will be bumpy and not the most comfortable car for a DD.

I'd say buy the regular ZL1 and add the aero stuff if you really like it but want a more comfortable DD.

Google Acs composite or thatgmpartsguy .
The tough part would be putting those canards on, but if you are in Canada you can drive to Montreal and the guys from acs will put them on for you for free. If not, find reputable shop to do it for you if you don't want to ruin your bumper.

does the ZL1 1LE have all the same PTM settings. Tour, Sport, Track? And track with all the sub settings, wet, dry sport 1, race?
If so, seems like driving it in tour would be okay for well, touring?

Is it stiff yes, Unless you have driven one everyone making claims is just supposition, if you want it buy it don't let the claims of others sway your decision.
If it's your only ride, well you may want to go another route.
My wife drives this and loves the way it rides

Good luck on your decision

I daily drive the ZL1 and in tour mode, find it to be very comfortable. In track mode, its a rough ride that I would not want to deal with on a daily basis. If the 1LE is harsher than the track mode for the mag ride (which I must assume it is) it would be too tough for me to handle on a daily basis.

after driving the ZL1 1LE for a week the ZL1 with the mag ride feels way too soft.

The ZL1 LE rides much better for a DD when you drop the tire pressure down to 29psi. Try it.

I don't think it will be as bumpy as you think. I have driven trucks and they are stiff. I have a TRD Tacoma now as a DD. My 2014 Mustang GT Track Pack with a Ford Racing suspension set on performance and it was stiffer than the ZL1 and it was not that bad.

Drive one and see what you think before saying no. I would buy one if I did not have the ZL1 I just bought.

Having just driven one and purchasing it I can honestly say I am not sure why so many think this car is so harsh on the street. Its an OEM car that is made for the track, so everyone needs to set that as your baseline.

I am convinced that folks who think this car is harsh for the streets, have never owned or built a dedicated track car. Sure its agressive on the street, but by no means is it not drivable and comfortable to be driven on the road.

This from someone who has driven the car.
