PICTURE OF MY C7

This is my 68 year old and our new born of April 28, 2014. Wife actually did not dress up for this pic as we anyway were headed to a Juvenile Drug Court (JDC) fund raising function where we donate a week of a vacation rental property we own that the JDC auctions off for money to help kids rather than jail them - www.vrbo.com/20213.

The area the car is sitting on where we are going to build a 2-story 3-car garage with lift. The 2nd story shall have a bathroom, wet bar, and pool table.

FYI, worked things out with my dealer as to the price protection problem. Turns out GM gives dealers money back on price protection not on MSRP but on dealer invoice. On a C7 with Z51, instead of getting back $3,200, my dealer gets back a little over $2,700 (I saw the proof). That is why my dealer gives back the price protection on the back end and not up front. Still, that does not work for customers getting back only $2,700 rather than $3,200.

My wife and I sat down with the owner and presented our position that if the dealer only gives back what it gets from GM, that gives the appearance that the dealer's position is that if GM is going to screw someone on the price protection, it shall be the customer, and not the dealer.

Not wanting us to leave as dissatisfied customers, we came to a compromise where my dealer reduced the price of my car even more below MSRP to $1,500 to make up the difference, and shall send us back what it gets from GM which likely shall be about $2,750. It also is going to install my mods for me at no cost - The Hurst shifter, Lashway side skirts and front splitter, etc.

Apparently one problem GM has had with some dealers is their requesting the price protection rebate from GM on non-sold order cars.

So, it worked out, and oh my gosh, what a car. I can't believe I am finally driving this car. What an incredible car and driving experience.

Thanks for all your support, and especially to my friend, Z51Stingray.

Great pics and enjoy the driving!! It's too bad you have to have those front license plates in MD, but it still looks great. I lived in Waldorf '94 - '01 and that is one thing I don't miss!

Take off that silly License Plate Bracket and use the Aero Plate instead. It will look a whole lot better. I live in a Two Plate State and I have it on my Car.

BTW - You NEVER reveal a Woman's age, ever. LOL

I shall take your good advice and change out the front license plate holder.

As for my wife's age, she is very proud of the fact that at 68 she has a better figure than most 20 somethings. She works hard at being physically fit and better than height weight appropriate at 5'7" and 125 lbs. (I know, the second rule is never divulge a woman's weight). She is pretty incredible all-in-all at any age and especially at 68. So, yeh, my bad on revealing her age, but her band ad also reveals her age.

Thanks for the tip on the license plate holder.

The "aeroplate" for the front doubles as a lisence plate bracket.

Just take off Corvette face plate, drill 4 holes through the aeroplate following the conveniently placed guide holes in the back, and screw your plate on.

I actually drilled a few holes in my actual lisence plate so I can access the mounting screws so I can take it off at shows or at night.

Yes, those are Harley Davidson Skull Lisence Plate Bolts.

Shall do

And, I am driving my C7 at every opportunity. As indicted on another thread, as my great wife shall outlive live, I shall not save the best of my C7 for whomever may follow me.
