Powder coated Matte Black wheels

Waiting on some Matte Black Forgestar F14's to arrive, looking to get some information on the best products to use for cleaning these. I'm looking for a car wash soap and a spray detailer that can be used on these wheels that will not ruin, streak or damage these wheels in any way.
Looking at Chemical Guys Meticulous matte detailer spray and there matte car was soap. Any body out there that used these products on powder coated matte black wheels?
What are all you guys using to clean your powder coated matte black wheels?

I have no idea but I would check with the manufacture to see what they recommend.

^ I agree with him on checking with the manufacturer, but if you clean them well enough and often enough whatever soap you use on your paint should be perfectly fine for cleaning your wheels. Just have a few brushes to agitate the brake dust and grim and then rinse off. Not hard at all, but if you let it sit on there for an extremely long time then that's when you will need harsher chemicals to get to wheel back clean.

Diluted simple green is what I have used on my avalanche .. anything you use you should never let dry on the wheel.

Adam's sells a wheel cleaner that is safe on all finishes. No need to use it every wash though, a good (safe) soap will do the job inbetween.

Always test out new products on an inconspicuous spot first.

Car Wash Shampoo and water will be your most gentle and safe option, provided they are sealed up and well maintained.

From there, you have two wheel cleaners to choose from. Our Green Wheel Cleaner, which is a "maintenance" cleaner with more cleaning power than shampoo by itself, and Deep Wheel Cleaner, which is a stronger cleaner, ideal for very dirty wheels, or ones that have really dusty brake pads.

Both are totally safe for those F14s, provided you follow the two golden rules of using a wheel cleaner:

  • Use them when the wheels are cool to the touch
  • Don't allow them to dry on the surface
Stick with those and you'll be good to go!
