Just a bit of aft-warning: I re-read my post. And it reads as ... not me.

Not sure what, exactly, is wrong with it. Accusatory? Pompous? Arrogant? I don't know. But believe me, thats how I wrote it. Thing is, I don't know how to reword it any better.

But going from human controlled drones to AI? In a recent article more people are now afraid of AI than aliens. Aliens? What? I didn't know we we supposed to be afraid of aliens.
I'm much more afraid of natural unintelligence than artificial intelligence. A single stupid person acting on a dumb idea can cause an unbelievably massive sh*tstorm (see Gavrilo Princip).

We don't have to worry about AI, at least not on a Skynet level, until at least the point where they can operate their entire logistical chain from production to maintenance to resupply.

As for aliens ... I figure that any species capable of visiting Earth could wipe us out in an instant & we'd be powerless to stop them. Which means there isn't much point in me worrying about it.

Aliens?

Hit the planet with a bus traveling 1/10 the speed of light and Ta-Ta people.

Here, let's do cyberpunk instead. Lambo Terzo Millenio

Needs Lowering?

That is certainly a topic reversing post. LOL

The Lambo for people who think the rest of the lineup is too plain & subtle

History is written by the victors, as they choose to write it, frequently with a spin and only a casual basis in fact. He did not act alone and his cause was just.

Perfectly stated !

In other news, I just took the Z out for a spin on snow & ice. Snow is not so bad, but the ice coming back up the 5-6% grade up to my houze was ... interesting, to say the least.

Ice + RWD + grade = too much pucker factor on the old sphincter - even with the Sottozeroes.

The girl at Hooterz was impressed that I was driving my beasty in the snow, though, so I've got that going for me, which is good.
