CamaroFest XI in the books

Many members of the Camaro Family were not here this year and I fully understand the reasons for it. Life gets in the way for everyone on occasion and I'm here to tell you that your absence was felt.
We all still had an awesome time but I, along with many others look forward to seeing EVERYONE again.
This event isn't a gathering, vacation or a simple road trip to a lot of us. It's a family reunion.
It seemed to me especially so with the extra support and love I received from so many about my car. My heart runneth over onto the floor is really the only way I can put into words how I'm feeling.
Don't ever feel like your alone, that the situation is helpless, that no one is in your corner.
Camaro Family is and hopefully always be tight knitted.
My family and I want to thank everyone that we will never forget CamaroFest XI.
Mike Lee, anytime, anywhere. I'm here brotha.

I’m with you Bo, it really felt differently this year. Many of the ‘family’ not here, vendors that we built a relationship with didn’t attend and many have either sold or moved on. Hated to hear what happened to you and your car but was glad to see you there. I really missed many folks not being there but, looks like a newer generation is now attending.

I’m on the fence for next year but hope more folks can make it next time…

Man, I wanted to be there. I was so hoping for a negative covid test on Saturday but it was not to be.

Do you think Covid was a factor?

Costs and gas. Rooms were more too...

I cut 2 days off my usual stay because of that. COVID maybe but last year seem to me to have more attendance...

I think some folks left early too...
Just off this year...

Yeah, it definitely felt different. I think the weather forecast kept some from coming. Hopefully next year more will attend and the vendors will be back.

Looks like a great time. Assuming my order comes thru, and the car is in my possession, at the time, I'd love to make the trip. I will keep an eye on the dates and locations.

I was at the last 3, including working at Fest 8 and 9. I sure missed seeing all those beautiful cars. I had paid for wristbands and bought tix, but I came home from a Vegas trip sick. 8 days later, I’m still sick!

I wonder how many were in my situation. I know a lot of sick people right now. Most KY counties are in the red zone. I hope people didn’t get sick at Camarofest. I know I didn’t wear a mask anywhere in Las Vegas, nor did I see many. No one in my KY town is masking. I doubt there were any in Bowling Green.

I emailed the guys and I hope to get my shirts.

Next year, can’t wait.

Was another awesome Fest! Can't wait till '23!

Many thanks to all the organizers, a ton of work of your behalf is very appreciated.

I loved those occasional passing showers, cooled things off nicely, zero impact on my enjoyment of all the fest goings on. That Friday afternoon passing monsoon was amazing. Impressive amount of water, build an Arc type of monsoon. And it was gone as fast as it came, no biggie/ Just have to be careful with the pop up tents... really weighted down for nice weather - take them down for storms approaching. Storms pass so quick in Southern . And wind gusts even in clear skies come out of the blue.

If you have a good plan for pop up tent weights/anchoring for clear weather and taking down for an approaching storm... summer KY fest weather is awesome. If you just pop up a shade tent on a hope and a prayer... it will likely fly into your surrounding neighbors cars and trucks. I luckily caught one tent in the pits headed right for me... and that was in perfectly clear weather, just a gust.

Love the KY heat and occasional wildness! Make '23 hotter and wilder! I'll keep bringing the electrolytes and tent weights.

Those storms did sure pop up and I would disagree it didn’t cool off. At NCM on Thursday it did for about 5 min then got hot again.

I remember BeckyD saying to me "it's really F'n hot!" one day years ago. My wife and I still laugh about that.
